You have received an error message “Could not secure this instance of SQL Server. Function return code: 2” when using a license for a less advanced edition of SQL to secure a higher level SQL instance.

Additional Information:
Encryptionizer is licensed based upon SQL Edition (Express, Personal, Workgroup, Standard, Enterprise).When using the Admin Wizard to secure a SQL instance, you will receive this error when trying to secure a SQL instance that is a more advanced Edition of SQL than the one for which you are licensed: Could not secure this instance of SQL Server.
